What each number means
Brightness
Brightness matters most in a sunny room or next to a window. The PA329CV's number is the maker's typical figure, not a peak.
Max refresh rate
Refresh rate is how often the screen redraws each second. You notice it when scrolling fast or playing games, and much less when editing a document.
Horizontal resolution
This counts pixels across the screen only. More of them means more room to put windows side by side.
Response time
GTG and MPRT measure different things, so the gap between 5ms and 1ms isn't a straight comparison. Each maker chose its own method.
Screen size
This is the diagonal of the panel. It tells you how big the picture is, not how much desk the monitor takes up.
The trade-off that's easy to miss
The PA329CV puts 3840 pixels across the screen against the AOC 24G2E5's 1920, but the AOC 24G2E5 refreshes at 75Hz while the PA329CV stops at 60Hz.
